Office Administrator

Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church in Ashland, VA is hiring a full-time Office Administrator. Location 201 Henry St., Ashland, VA (on campus of Randolph-Macon College) Hours 40 hours/week in-person from 9am-4pm, Monday-Friday. Reports to Lead Pastor. Key Responsibilities Provide administrative support to the Lead Pastor, Leadership Board and various ministry teams; Organize and manage daily church office activities; Serve as primary point of contact and direct inquiries appropriately; Maintain and file essential church documents, including membership database, meeting minutes and financial reports; Manage and maintain employee records; Handle and process church correspondence, including mail, emails (including distribution of weekly newsletter) and worship bulletins; Maintain and coordinate church calendar, including room and event scheduling; Manage inventory of office and janitorial supplies, and oversee office equipment maintenance; Coordinate building and vehicle maintenance, including scheduling with vendors and managing records; Assist the Treasurer with accounting and finance duties, including processing invoices, managing check requests, and using accounting software. Pay and Benefits $35,000-$40,000 commensurate with experience, plus health insurance, sick leave, vacation and other benefits.
