People like you.Visit our careers page to see what exciting opportunities and company perks await!Job Description:Will be responsible for PCB layout of Microchip hardware Dev Tool productsWill work closely with HW Design team to develop PCBs governed by manufacturability, testability requirements, safety guidelines, EMC and RoHS compliancyDesign of high-speed digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics using Altium Design Software, Siemens Xpedition or other equivalent EDA toolsStrong understanding of signal and power integrity, EMI/EMC and manufacturabilityMaintains HW Quality process documents (PCB/Sch, BOM, product drawings and assembly)Contributes to company wide librarian functions for component creationGenerates Gerber outputs, stacking, drilling detail, and component placementCoordinate closely with PCB vendors and Assembly Contract ManufacturersRequirements/Qualifications:B.S. in Electrical Engineering7.5 years of professional PCB layout experienceGood knowledge of signal integrity and PCB thermal analysisFamiliarity with Mechanical CAD package (SOLIDWORKS, Autodesk Fusion/Inventor) or equivalentAbility to find, collect, and analyze technical information from various sourcesAnalytical and problem-solving skillsGood communication skillsPreferred:Master’s in electrical engineeringTravel Time:0% - 25%Physical Attributes:Hearing, Seeing, TalkingPhysical Requirements:80% sitting, 10% walking, 10% standingMicrochip Technology Incis an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
