Teyata is a 135-unit property management company built to grow. We are early. The systems are being built, the portfolio is being shaped, and the seats are being filled by the people who will run this company as it scales.

You are one of those seats.

This is not a role at a mature firm where the ceiling is drawn and the ladder is crowded. This is Assistant Property Manager number one at a company that is planning to look nothing like a 135-unit shop three years from now. Get in now, do the work, and the door to Property Manager opens. Do the work again, and Director of Operations opens after that.

What you'll actually do

Run the day-to-day of a growing rental portfolio across Whatcom and Skagit counties. Move-ins, move-outs, turns, showings, renewals, and the resident relationships that hold it all together. You are the presence on the ground that residents and owners can count on so Lawton can stop driving up from two hours out and start building the next hundred units.

Position Details

• Location: Bellingham-based. You must live within a 30-minute commute of Bellingham. Frequent travel across Whatcom and Skagit counties.
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST. This is a career, not a job. Evenings and weekends will occasionally require your help, and you will be the kind of person who leans in when they do.
• Compensation: $62,000 to $70,000 base, plus a success bonus tied to portfolio performance.
• Reports to: Lawton, owner of Teyata.
• Growth track: Assistant Property Manager to Property Manager to Director of Operations, in step with Teyata's growth.
• Requirements: valid Washington driver's license, reliable vehicle, clean driving record.
• Onboarding: your first four weeks are a paid shadow ramp with Lawton across the portfolio. Day-30 accountability begins at the end of week four.
