Role Description The Trial Attorney/Senior Associate responsibilities include managing a docket of plaintiffs’ personal injury cases from intake through resolution, conducting legal research, drafting strong pleadings, motions, discovery demands, and appearing in court for conferences, hearings, and trials. The attorney will take and defend depositions, prepare clients and witnesses, evaluate cases, and engage in settlement negotiations with defense counsel and insurance carriers. Day-to-day work also involves providing clear legal advice to clients, collaborating with support staff to move matters efficiently, and maintaining organized case files and accurate records. The role requires proactive communication, strong advocacy, and consistent follow-through to achieve positive outcomes for clients. Qualifications Must be willing to travel to both office locations (Bohemia & Coram) Strong foundation in Law with experience in personal injury litigation. Ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice to plaintiffs. Proficiency in legal Research, including case law, statutes, and procedural rules. Effective Negotiation skills for mediation, settlement discussions, and trial-related resolutions. Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and admission in good standing to practice law in New York. Prior experience as a trial attorney or litigation associate handling personal injury matters is required. Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, including motion practice, courtroom presentation, and client communication. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
