Role: Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting (Temporary to Permanent)

Pay Rate: $60/hr - $65/hr

Job Description:

Position Overview The Senior Accountant plays a key role in the monthly and quarterly close process, managing general ledger activity, and supporting SEC financial reporting. Reporting directly to the Manager of Financial Reporting and working closely with the SVP of Accounting, this role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with public accounting or SEC reporting experience who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• General Ledger & Close Management: Manage books and records for designated legal entities, including journal entries, trial balance analysis, variance reviews, and closing schedules.
• Financial Reporting & SEC Filings: Assist in preparing consolidated financial statements, 10-Q/10-K filings, footnotes, disclosures, and tie-out support documentation.
• Reconciliations & Cash Flow: Maintain monthly/quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and provide backup support for consolidated statement of cash flows preparation.
• Compliance & Controls: Ensure all documentation complies with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) guidelines; coordinate requests and support for both internal and external audit teams.
• Technical Research & Ad-Hoc Projects: Draft accounting research memos, assist with management reporting, and support strategic initiatives such as M&A due diligence or dispositions.

Qualifications

• Education & Credentials: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA license or active CPA track preferred.
• Experience: 2-3 years of accounting experience, ideally combining public accounting with a publicly traded company. Direct experience with SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q) required.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with Great Plains, Workiva, OneStream, or similar ERP and consolidation software is a strong plus.
• Core Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, rigorous attention to detail, and a proven ability to own tasks and hit tight reporting deadlines.
