Quality Assurance Inspector

Title: Quality Assurance Inspector
Location: Largo, FL
Industry: Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
Schedule: 3rd Shift - 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM (possible rotating schedule)
Pay Rate: $24.00/hr + $3.00 shift differential ($27.00/hr)
Employment Type: Contract with the possibility to go permanent

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform in-process and finished product inspections to ensure compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct visual inspections using measuring equipment such as calipers, crimp gauges, pressure gauges, and scales.
Review and verify in-process quality checks throughout manufacturing.
Verify pre-production and post-production line clearance activities.
Perform daily verification and calibration checks of quality instruments, including scales and gauges.
Monitor and verify temperature, pressure differential, equipment, and other quality logbooks.
Review, record, and maintain quality documentation with a high level of accuracy.
Collect and manage retain samples for Analytical and Microbiology Laboratories.
Audit batch production records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Partner with Production to resolve quality-related issues and maintain product quality standards.
Support the training of production personnel on quality procedures and inspection requirements.
Provide quality support to Laboratory, Warehouse, Engineering, and Operations as needed.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and other quality assurance projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate's Degree required.
Manufacturing experience required.
Previous experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
Knowledge of cGMP and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) preferred.
Experience performing quality inspections in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Ability to work overtime or rotating schedules as needed.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Basic computer proficiency.
Experience using Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
Ability to accurately complete quality documentation and production records.

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Frequent use of hands while performing inspections.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Exposure to manufacturing and pharmaceutical production environments.
Exposure to chemicals and other potential workplace hazards while following established safety procedures.
