Locums - Gastroenterology Charleston, West Virginia Position Overview

• Setting: Acute Care Hospital (Outpatient Clinic)
• Trauma Level: Adult Level IV
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Call: None
• EMR: Cerner
• Coverage Needed: 2-3 weeks per month (multiple providers will be considered)
• Average Patients/Procedures: Approximately 9 advanced cases per day
• Patient Population: Adults (18+)

Required Licenses & CertificationsRequired

• Board Certification in Gastroenterology
• Active West Virginia Medical License or IMLC eligibility/qualification for a West Virginia license
• Active DEA
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification

Experience

• Open experience requirement
• Advanced GI experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Outpatient clinic coverage
• Perform advanced GI procedures
• Scheduled ERCP and EUS procedures
• Support the call team by performing urgent inpatient cases as needed
• No call responsibilities

Required Procedures

• ERCP
• Therapeutic ERCP
• Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)

Support Staff

• 9 Advanced Practice Providers
• Registered Nurses
• Licensed Practical Nurses
• Medical Assistants across three GI locations
