Job Details Specialty: Gastroenterology Position Type: Locum tenens physician Location: Charleston, West Virginia 25304 Start Date: October 1, 2026 Duration: 6 months Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Shift Duration: 8 hours Hours per Week: 40 Weekly Estimated Pay: $13,760 - $14,750 Coverage Need: Approximately 2-3 weeks per month EMR: Cerner Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 60 days Licensure: Candidates who qualify for West Virginia medical licensure or IMLC are welcome to apply Job Requirements Board certification in Gastroenterology required Active state medical license required, or eligibility for West Virginia licensure/IMLC DEA registration required BLS and ACLS required At least 1 year of gastroenterology physician experience preferred Experience with advanced GI procedures strongly preferred ERCP, therapeutic ERCP, and EUS experience highly desirable Responsibilities Provide gastroenterology clinic coverage in a hospital-based setting Perform advanced GI procedures, including ERCP, therapeutic ERCP, and EUS Support inpatient gastroenterology consults and procedures as needed Maintain a structured procedural schedule with a focus on advanced endoscopy cases Collaborate with a multidisciplinary support team, including APPs, RNs, LPNs, and MAs Deliver high-quality care to adult patients with an average age of 58 Apply now for this locum tenens Gastroenterology Physician opportunity in Charleston, West Virginia, and join a strong healthcare team today.
