Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPay:$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per yearJob description:We are seeking an experienced and motivatedSecond Shift Production Supervisorto help oversee daily plant operations . The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience in high-speed manufacturing environments and the ability to drive safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is responsible for supervising production activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, supporting employee development, and maintaining efficient plant operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with over 150 employees.Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are strongly preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, organize, and supervise daily second shift production operations to meet production and customer goalsMonitor production performance, quality standards, and on-time shipment requirementsPromote and enforce workplace safety policies and proceduresOptimize labor, equipment, and material resources to maximize productivity and minimize wasteIdentify operational inefficiencies and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiativesAnalyze production data, downtime, scrap, and overtime trends to improve operational performanceEnsure compliance with FDA, USDA, GMP, sanitation, and company standardsPartner with maintenance, quality, warehouse, and management teams to support efficient plant operationsTrain, coach, and develop production employees while maintaining accountability and performance standardsAddress employee relations and performance matters in accordance with company policyMaintain accurate production and operational recordsStay informed on manufacturing best practices, safety standards, and operational improvementsFoster a respectful and inclusive multicultural work environmentOvertime will be often requiredQualifications3+ years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment Strongly preferredExperience in food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or other high-speed manufacturing environments strongly preferredExperience with high-speed packaging and/or filling equipment strongly preferredKnowledge of plant operations including HVAC, refrigeration, sanitation, and GMP complianceStrong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentBilingual English/Spanish skills required to be successfulMust be available to work overtime as neededPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds as neededAbility to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with varying temperaturesBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceExperience:Production Supervisor : 3 years (Required)Food manufacturer : 3 years (Required)Language:English and Spanish (Required)Shift availability:Night Shift (Required)Ability to Commute:Union, NJ 07083 (Required)Work Location: In person\nCompany DescriptionDeep Foods is a major food manufacturer based that specializes in prepared Indian foods and frozen food products.
