Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with ARDMS certification and Epic EMR experience to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures on an evening shift.

Details

• Ultrasound Tech - General department within a hospital-based cancer support services setting
• Performs routine and specialized sonography procedures of moderate complexity across OB/GYN, fetal, pediatric, general ultrasound, vascular, renal/pelvis, small parts, and neonatal studies
• Evening shift, 5x8-hour shifts from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM
• Uses GE ultrasound equipment
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• ARDMS certification required; ARDMS AB and ARDMS OB/GYN certifications preferred
• BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skilled in OB/GYN imaging including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester studies, amniotic fluid index, fetal anatomical survey, placenta previa, and umbilical cord Doppler
• Skilled in fetal imaging including abdomen, bone lengths, cerebellum/ventricles, diaphragm, head, and heart
• Skilled in pediatric imaging including abdomen, appendix, bladder, head, hips, liver/spleen, pelvic, renal, scrotum, spine, and thyroid
• Skilled in general ultrasound including abdominal aorta, appendix, biliary tract, breast, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, and spleen
• Skilled in vascular studies including aorta, carotid, color flow, Doppler studies, duplex, and upper/lower extremity arterial and venous studies
• Skilled in renal/pelvis imaging including bladder, ovaries, renal/bladder, transvaginal, uterus, and vaginal studies
• Skilled in small parts imaging including breast, superficial masses, testicles/scrotum, and thyroid
• Experience with cyst aspiration and ultrasound-guided biopsy/fine needle aspiration procedures preferred
• Experience with neonatal imaging including head, hips, renal, and spine preferred

• Works independently while exercising sound clinical judgment on complex diagnostic imaging cases
• Delivers accurate, timely diagnostic results to physicians and healthcare providers for diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease
• Builds trust and cooperation with patients and families through competent assessment, monitoring, and communication
• Adheres to all applicable regulations, codes, and policies to ensure patient privacy and safety
• May perform specialized procedures and orient other staff within the department
• First-time travelers not accepted for this position
• Accepts local candidates within a 50-mile radius at the local rate
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
