Superintendent - Affordable Housing

Superintendent Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead on-site operations for affordable multifamily housing projects. The Superintendent will be responsible for managing daily field activities, maintaining safety and quality standards, coordinating subcontractors and trades, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget while meeting program and regulatory requirements specific to affordable housing.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day site operations for affordable multifamily housing projects, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.Enforce OSHA 30 safety protocols and maintain a strong safety culture among all site personnel and subcontractors.Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, vendors, and labor to optimize workflow and minimize delays.Review and implement construction plans, specifications, and project schedules; identify and resolve site-level issues and conflicts.Conduct daily site inspections and progress walks; prepare and distribute site reports, RFIs, and field documentation.Manage site logistics, material deliveries, equipment, and storage to support efficient jobsite operations.Collaborate with project management, estimating, and design teams to communicate progress, change orders, and cost impacts.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local affordable housing regulations, funding requirements, and inspection protocols.Foster productive relationships with community stakeholders, property management teams, and local agencies to support project objectives.Utilize construction software to track progress, update schedules, and maintain accurate field documentation.Mentor and lead on-site crew, promote workmanship standards, and support training and development efforts.Qualifications5+ years of Superintendent or similar on-site management experience, with significant experience in multifamily and affordable housing projects.Valid OSHA 30 certification required.Proven knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, and quality control for multi-family residential buildings.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple trades and complex site logistics.Experience maintaining compliance with affordable housing funding requirements, inspections, and reporting preferred.Proficient in reading plans, specifications, and construction documents.Ability to work full-time on active job sites and travel between projects as needed.Nice to have: experience with Procore or similar construction management platforms.Nice to have: hands-on experience in new construction and ground-up multifamily projects.Relevant certifications (e.g., First Aid/CPR, CCM, or equivalent) and a clean driving record are a plus.BenefitsMedicalDentalVisionCompany-paid premiums401kLife insuranceShort- and long-term disabilityPaid vacation + sick time
