Senior Operations Support, Project Closing(Overland Park, Wichita, or Topeka)

About the Position This role will be fully onsite and can be based in Overland Park, Wichita, or Topeka. This posting is scheduled to close on May 18. What You Will Do Provide construction project closing support related to accurate, complete and timely documentation of capital construction work and ensure accurate, complete and timely reconciliation and processing of contractor invoices and assists with financial forecasts. Compile, analyze, reconcile, and complete all tasks associated with closing a construction project and processing contractor invoices, including: Job orders and completion reports Designed versus constructed projects including as-builts Leakage and repair logs Service line documentation Pipeline data such as compliance records Major materials Invoices and supporting documentation Contractor Daily Progress Reports Contract terms and pricing Utilize JES, Maximo, Oracle, Markview, PowerPlant, ONE Map, Business Intelligence, SharePoint and Excel to enter or verify data and prepare reports including: Completion Reports and supporting documentation Invoice FERC account coding and supporting documentation Debit memos and journal entries for labor and property corrections Job-to-job material transfers Communicate effectively with Field Operations, Engineering, GIS and Property Accounting on quality of documentation and status of pending work. Assist and support financial forecasting processes by analyzing project statuses and invoice timing. Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job. Employee may perform additional tasks as assigned. What You Will Need Preferred Associate's Degree in business administration, another related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job-related experience: Experience reviewing project or construction documentation and contractor invoices. Experience in use of office equipment applicable to position, including computers, photocopiers and applicable software. Experience with policies, procedures, and terminology applicable to the position. Experience reading and interpreting different types of manuals, forms, publications, maps and reports. Experience interacting, advising and communicating with internal and external customers. Experience composing and preparing correspondence and reports.
