Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Trauma/Surgery Duration: Temporary/Contract Shift: Varied Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty License: Active Nursing License Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - EPIC experience - High acuity floor experience - Willingness to work varied shifts without block scheduling - Experience with surgical patients, gunshot wounds, patients with quadriplegia and paraplegia Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in a high acuity floor specializing in Trauma and Surgery. The ideal candidate should be willing to accommodate varied shifts without any block scheduling. The patient population will include surgical cases and those with complex needs such as gunshot wounds and patients with mobility impairments. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 5:1, ensuring an optimal level of care. Support staff, including Nursing Support Technicians and phlebotomists, will assist on the unit. A unit secretary will be available during the night shifts. Collaboration with emergency department nurses and the admitting unit will be crucial, as a nurse handoff will take place during transitions. Candidates must meet the minimum experience requirements and possess both BLS and preferably ACLS certifications. Familiarity with EPIC is also a requirement for this role.
