Senior Events Specialist, USCAN Field Marketing

Illumina seeks a Senior Events Specialist to plan, coordinate, and execute customer-facing field marketing events across the United States and Canada. The role requires managing event logistics, vendor coordination, budget tracking, and compliance reporting while partnering with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute assigned USCAN field marketing events including regional sales events and vendor shows
• Source venues, prepare RFPs, and coordinate contracts for hotel, catering, audiovisual, and vendor services
• Build and manage event registration sites and attendee communications using Cvent
• Track event budgets, reconcile expenses, process invoices, and provide spend reporting
• Collect and report Transfers of Value data while ensuring legal and compliance adherence

Requirements

• 5+ years corporate event planning experience with budget tracking and contracting
• Demonstrated experience managing high-volume customer-facing field marketing events
• Strong Cvent proficiency including website development and registration management
• Project management skills to coordinate multiple programs and stakeholders simultaneously
• Experience with hotel and vendor contract coordination and on-site logistics
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with customer-focused approach
• Life sciences or healthcare industry experience and Transfers of Value compliance knowledge desired

Compensation: $82,500 - $123,700 base
