Position: Hall Monitor

Pay: $15.45+/hr

Job Type: Full-time

Shift: 1st Shift - 7:30a-4:30p

As a Hall Monitor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and orderly conduct of students and staff within school hallways and common areas. This role is essential in fostering a secure and structured learning environment.

Duties:

• Monitor hallways, entrances, restrooms, and other common areas to enforce school policies.
• Ensure students follow established rules and behavioral expectations.
• Assist in conflict resolution by de-escalating situations and reporting incidents to appropriate staff.
• Provide supervision during passing periods, lunch breaks, and before/after school.
• Check student passes and ensure they are in designated areas.
• Assist in maintaining a secure school environment by identifying and reporting potential safety concerns.
• Escort students to and from designated locations as needed.
• Assist with visitor check-ins and ensure only authorized individuals enter the building.
• Respond to emergencies and follow school safety protocols.
• Collaborate with school administration and staff to support student behavior and school-wide expectations.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in a school setting, security, or similar role preferred.
• Must pass a background check.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Ability to quickly respond to situations across various school areas.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
