Position Overview: an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and dedicated professional as a Fleet Manager in Memphis, TN. The schedule for this position will be Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

This position may be eligible for health, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Pay Rate: $25-30/hr W2

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Maintain a positive and productive relationship with drivers.

Schedule and dispatch drivers.

Serve as the primary communications link to drivers, including load information, maintenance coordination and performance counseling.

Manage an assigned fleet of tractors and drivers for optimum performance across on-time pickup and delivery, out-of-route miles, hours-of-service compliance, driver availability, special routing needs and cost control.

Ensure each driver has an adequate understanding of customer and company expectations on every load at the point of dispatch and delivery.

Complete a daily accounting of all assigned trucks and drivers.

Provide customers with up-to-date and accurate information as necessary.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Intermodal/Drayage: 2 years required.

Fleet management experience is a plus but not required.

1+ year of career experience.

Strong computer skills and fluency.

A high degree of professionalism.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.

A four-year college degree in Transportation and Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or Liberal Arts is preferred.
