Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide respiratory therapy services in a dynamic healthcare environment. Candidates with adult experience are welcome, but pediatrics experience is preferred. The therapist will work in a tertiary teaching hospital featuring a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory care treatments to patients in acute and critical care settings.
• Provide care for diverse patient populations, including neonates and children in NICU/PICU.
• Utilize a variety of equipment including ventilators, Vapotherm, and other respiratory therapy devices.
• Collaborate with medical teams to deliver optimal patient care.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and protocols during shifts.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 3+ years of experience in Respiratory Therapy, with acute care background.
• Active RRT certification required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred, NRP certification for NICU is also required.
• Experience with Drager V500, Hamilton T1, C1, and other ventilators.
• Ability to float as needed, covering various units including NICU/PICU.
