Location: Overland Park, KS 66209
Setting: 150+ Bed Acute Care Hospital
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Schedule: Days | 8- or 10-Hour Shifts | Rotating Weekends
Start Time: 6:45 AM
Openings: Multiple
On-Call: Required

Position Summary:
Join a 15-room full-service Operating Room team providing perioperative care across a diverse patient population. The RN primarily functions as a circulating nurse, while strong scrubbing skills are valuable. The OR handles a high volume of orthopedic cases along with a broad range of surgical procedures.

Position Overview:

• Evaluate patients before surgery and identify perioperative care needs.
• Prepare patients for surgery, including IV therapy and preoperative medications.
• Perform surgical site verification and participate in time-outs and debriefings.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond to emergencies.
• Coordinate care with surgeons, providers, surgical technologists, and the OR team.
• Apply critical thinking, nursing judgment, and technical skills to provide safe care.
• Document patient condition and perioperative care accurately.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, treatment, and follow-up.
• Participate in evidence-based practice and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• 1+ year of recent OR RN Scrub/Circulating experience required.
• Acute-care experience required.
• Active Kansas RN license required.
• Registered Nurse Diploma required.
• BLS required within 30 days of employment.
• Scrubbing experience is valuable for this position.

Compensation:

• Up to $48/hr based on experience
• On-Call Pay: +$5/hr

On-Call Requirement:
On-call participation is required during select non-business hours. Specific call expectations will be discussed during the recruiter interview.
