Job Summary:

Airship AI is seeking a hands-on Warehouse & Production Technician to support hardware production, enclosure and kit fabrication, inventory management, ERP transactions, shipping logistics, and operations for our advanced AI-driven surveillance and edge computing platforms at our Charlotte, NC facility.

This role is responsible for building and configuring surveillance enclosures, wiring and assembling camera and edge device systems, supporting battery and electrical integration work, maintaining accurate inventory and ERP records within NetSuite, and ensuring timely shipment of customer hardware deployments. This work is critical for ensure that all products that leave the Charlotte Warehouse is correct and on time in support of our customers needs.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically capable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment involving electronics assembly, hardware fabrication, warehouse operations, inventory reconciliation, and shipping logistics.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Inventory Management & ERP Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and process incoming hardware, components, materials, and customer returns
• Maintain accurate serialized inventory records within ERP
• Add inventory items and update inventory transactions in ERP
• Issue and manage Vendor Purchase Orders (POs) and Work Orders within ERP
• Receive shipments into inventory and ensure accurate inventory allocation
• Close out completed Purchase Orders and Work Orders in ERP
• Perform monthly and quarterly inventory audits and reconciliations to verify physical inventory matches ERP
• Organize and track serialized equipment, cameras, cables, sensors, servers and enclosure components
• Organize and optimize the warehouse and its equipment based on production need

Hardware Assembly, Fabrication & Production Support

• Build, wire, and assemble surveillance enclosures and integrated hardware systems
• Perform enclosure fabrication, cable routing, labeling, mounting, and hardware integration
• Configure and prepare:
• AI edge servers and devices
• Surveillance camera systems
• Mobility and Rapid Deployment Kits
• Rack-mount system and field-ready hardware
• Install and organize
• • Cameras
  • Networking equipment
  • Electrical components
  • Battery systems and power distribution equipment
  • Computer hardware
• Perform light electrical and battery-related work associated with enclosure builds and field deployment systems.
• Conduct quality checks and verify system functionality prior to shipment
• Follow assembly instructions, wiring diagrams, and standard operating procedures
• Support light fabrication, cable routing, labeling, and quality checks.

Shipping, Logistics, & Asset Tracking

• Package and prepare sensitive electronic equipment for domestic and international shipment
• Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and shipment documentation
• Coordinate outbound deliveries with carriers and internal teams
• Ensure secure packaging for ruggedized and mission-critical deployments
• Track and document serial numbers (SNs) for all shipped hardware
• Email shipment details, part lists, and serial number information to customers and internal teams for warranty and asset tracking purposes
• Maintain accurate shipment and deployment records for customer hardware installations
• Support urgent customer and government project fulfillment timelines

Quality & Compliance

• Conduct visual inspections and basic testing of assembled hardware and systems
• Maintain clean, organized, and safety-compliant warehouse and production areas
• Follow ESD, hardware handling, electrical safety, and operational procedures
• Support documentation of build procedures, inventory workflows, and shipment records
• Ensure accuracy and accountability throughout all warehouse and production processes
  Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements for AVSS deployment.
  

Cross-Functional Support

• Collaborate with engineering, operations, procurement, and field deployment teams as needed
• Assist with hardware deployment preparation for customer installations and demonstrations
• Support urgent customer and government project fulfillment timeline

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–3 years of warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or technical assembly experience
• Experience handling electronics, servers, networking equipment, or surveillance hardware preferred
• Ability to use hand tools and follow assembly instructions
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Basic computer proficiency including inventory or shipping software
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, initiative and strong work ethic is required

INVESTIGATION REQUIREMENT: Applicants must be willing, as that may be required, to be subjected to a background investigation to determine suitability for employment at Airship Industries. Continued employment is contingent upon favorable adjudication of periodic reinvestigations.

DRUG TESTING: Certain Airship positions require drug testing. Applicants tentatively selected for those positions will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use per Federal requirements prior to employment. Employment is contingent upon favorable results.
