Overview
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Travel) in San Luis Obispo, California. Travel assignment starts 09/14/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,723-$2,884 per week. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: Days, 8-hour shifts (5x8). Setting: perioperative care in a surgical services environment. This position is represented by CNA.

Responsibilities
- Assists surgeons and anesthesiologists and coordinates flow of equipment, supplies, and staff during a surgical procedure.
- Assures patient safety throughout the perioperative phase of care.
- Participates in patient care planning, assessment, and nursing treatment related to perioperative care.
- Maintains sterile technique, prepares and manages equipment and supplies, and supports turnover in the operating room.
- Monitors patient vitals intraoperatively and communicates changes to the team.
- Assists in positioning, specimen handling, counts, and incident reporting as needed.

Requirements
- Active RN license in California
- OR/perioperative nursing experience
- Ability to work daytime, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff
- Willingness to travel for a temporary assignment and comply with CNA representation
- Commitment to patient safety and adherence to perioperative safety standards
- Ability to adapt to the perioperative environment and maintain professionalism under pressure
