This role will provide you with the opportunity to showcase your expertise in tax accounting and play a pivotal role in the financial success of our business. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing state, local, and federal tax returns, conducting audits, and utilizing tax software for compliance and reporting. Responsibilities: Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations. Conduct thorough tax audits, identify discrepancies, and propose corrective actions. Utilize CCH tax software for efficient tax preparation and reporting. Provide guidance on tax planning, and assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities. Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations and advise management on the financial implications. Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities, and handle any tax-related inquiries or issues. Prepare accurate tax reports for management and stakeholders. Assist in financial planning and analysis, and provide insights to aid in decision-making. Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and record-keeping. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is highly desirable. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax accounting role, preferably in the Accounting and Finance industry. Proficiency in CCH or similar tax software is a must. Solid knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations, and experience in tax preparation and filing. Proven experience in conducting tax audits and developing tax strategies. Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of management, stakeholders, and external auditors. High level of integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
