Location: Elk Grove Village, IL 60007

Pay Rate: $28.00/hr

Shift: Third Shift

Description: Automation Technician / Molding Supervisor
The primary focus of this position is to support injection molding operations by supervising production activities,
troubleshooting automation and processing issues, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
Educational: High School
Skills Required:
• Formal training in Industrial maintenance or equivalent on the job experience.
• Experience in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and basic programming (Allen Bradley, Beckhoff).
• Experience in troubleshooting robotic systems.
• Knowledge of tool room equipment (lathe, grinder, milling, welding, drill press, etc.).
• Experience with injection molding machines and peripheral equipment.
• Basic knowledge of CAD (access and view).
• Knowledge of mechanical blueprint reading.
• Knowledge of most common Safety rules (Lock out Tag out, Electrical, Hazcom).
• Knowledge of production efficiency metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance, installation, and repair of
machinery, automation, production, and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot production and automation equipment during production runs and perform basic root cause
analysis.
• Conduct Gemba walks to audit equipment performance and maintenance status.
• Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities.
• Maintain preventative maintenance records, project documentation, and After Action Reviews (AARs).
• Create and modify PLC programs for robots and related equipment as needed.
• Assist with the setup, integration, and run-off of automation equipment.
• Maintain 5S standards and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Respond to technical emergencies after regular working hours, when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
