Senior Desktop Support Engineer

Salary: $49,920 - 60,320 per year Requirements:

• Knowledge of enterprise and business applications, or willingness to train on JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, multi-factor authentication portals, Azure Active Directory, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange (hybrid), Office 365, and cloud and on-premises applications.
• Knowledge of basic networking concepts, or willingness to train on validating IP addresses, assigning static IPs, and configuring remote desktop systems.
• Knowledge of desktop support tasks, or willingness to train on replacing parts, installing GPUs, and advising on non-standard IT devices.

• Provide onsite and remote support for Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android endpoints; troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and configuration issues, and coordinate warranty service with OEM vendors.
• Maintain compatibility and integration between Mac and Windows systems, applications, and services.
• Participate in the new-hire induction program and prepare Mac or Windows workstations for incoming employees. Review upcoming start dates, plan readiness, and request shipments for remote locations.
• Refresh eligible devices in line with organizational guidelines, forecast refresh needs, communicate with leadership, monitor device performance, and recommend upgrades.
• Train users and create learning materials to help them use systems, applications, and productivity tools effectively.
• Install, update, configure, and maintain Mac and Windows systems to support security and performance.
• Track hardware and software inventory, licensing compliance, and asset lifecycles; perform monthly asset checks and extract asset records from relevant tools.
• Rack, connect, power, and support servers, switches, access points, UPS units, and other equipment in coordination with global IT teams.
• Work with multifunction printer providers and engineering teams to support site printing services.
• Coordinate with telecom engineering to support Teams and meeting-room communications infrastructure.
• Purchase hardware that meets organizational requirements and budget forecasts.
• Manage departing-user equipment returns, provide return instructions, wipe eligible assets for reuse, process drive removals, and coordinate quarterly asset disposal with vendors.
• Respond to and resolve end-user IT incidents according to established processes.
• Evaluate and improve IT services and processes using user feedback and industry practices.
