Practice Manager — Manchester, CT ProHealth Physicians (CT), part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Practice Manager to join our team in Manchester, CT. Optum is a clinician‑led care organization that is changing the way clinicians work and live. Reporting to the Senior Practice Manager, the Practice Manager will direct, supervise, and coordinate the overall operations of the medical practice, partnering with physicians to establish financial, quality, and patient satisfaction goals and monitor them regularly. Location: 515 W Middle Turnpike, Manchester, CT 06040 40‑hour work week; clinic hours are 7:30 am–5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Primary Responsibilities Establish work procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the office. Assist the Senior Practice Manager and physician(s) in developing and implementing long‑range plans. Manage office operations to maximize patient access, patient satisfaction, and collection of payments. Coordinate staff and provider schedules to ensure proper coverage for quality patient care. Manage human resources – hiring, onboarding, coaching, and evaluating; foster a team environment. Reconcile and investigate patient complaints. Lead and participate in process improvement initiatives. Ensure practice compliance with ProHealth policies, procedures, and programs. Actively participate in practice, regional, and organizational meetings. Required Qualifications Experience in practice/medical office management/operations with a demonstrated ability to drive operational workflows. Solid computer knowledge and aptitude. High proficiency with reporting and data analytics. Preferred Qualifications Experience with electronic health records, medical terminology, coding, and billing. Experience with Microsoft Suite. Knowledge of population health management. Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma process‑improvement tools and techniques. Demonstrated business and financial skills. Benefits and Compensation Pay is based on several factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and more. The salary for this role will range from $60,200 to $107,400 annually, based on full‑time employment.
