Job Title: Call Center Specialist Industry: Public Transportation Location: Tinley Park, IL Assignment Type: Contract Pay: $17–$21/hour Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) Work Schedule: Fully in office; call center operates 7 days/week. Schedule will be assigned based on business needs and candidate availability. Available schedules may include: 5:45 AM–2:15 PM, 5 days/week including Saturday & Sunday 10:00 AM–6:30 PM, 5 days/week, Monday–Sunday Split shift: 5:45–9:15 AM and 1:00–6:30 PM Part-time may be available for candidates who can only work one portion of the split shift Training will be approximately 9:00 AM–5:00 PM for the first two days Overtime may be available About The Company: Join a growing public transportation organization at a brand-new Tinley Park location! Job Description: The Call Center Specialist will assist customers with scheduling transportation services by phone. You’ll speak directly with customers, gather trip information, enter details accurately into the system, and help coordinate transportation based on their needs. This is a fast-paced, high-volume call center environment where you may handle multiple calls within a short period of time. Key Responsibilities: Answer a high volume of inbound customer calls in a friendly and professional manner Assist customers with scheduling transportation reservations Accurately collect and enter trip information into the appropriate system Determine appropriate scheduling based on pickup, arrival, or appointment times Answer questions regarding trips, schedules, and transportation services Provide patient, compassionate service to older adults and individuals with disabilities Maintain accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment Follow established procedures and customer service standards Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Strong verbal and written communication skills Professional and friendly phone presence Comfortable working in a high-volume call center environment Strong attention to detail and accuracy Basic computer skills Customer service experience preferred; retail, hospitality, administrative, or other customer-facing experience is welcome Ability to work the assigned schedule, including weekends as required Must have reliable transportation to the Tinley Park location Additional Details: Fully onsite position with parking available No public transportation options are available at the location Training is provided in a classroom setting Each employee will have their own computer, headset, and electronic workstation The role involves frequent inbound calls and continuous customer interaction Candidates must be available to complete required background and drug screening promptly Employment is contingent upon successful completion of required screening Initial assignment is at least 30 days, with potential for extension and permanent employment based on performance Candidates must be available to start quickly; extended notice periods may not be accommodated Perks: Immediate start opportunity Paid classroom training No prior call center experience required Potential for permanent employment Brand-new location and team Consistent full-time hours Opportunity to gain valuable customer service and transportation industry experience Meaningful work supporting older adults and individuals with disabilities Potential overtime opportunities Modern office environment with a large break room Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
