Critical Care Float Pool - Travel Registered Nurse - $2650 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Critical Care Float Pool experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: Any hit on your license must be disclosed. Hits will be sent to UVA leadership for approval prior to proceeding.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Level 1 trauma experience preferred. Experience in more than one area is preferred, as travelers will be floating to all areas.

Unit Details: Adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population. Critical care float pool covering ICU and intermediate care settings, including Medical ICU, Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Surgical Trauma ICU (Level 1), Neuro & Neurosurgery ICU, Critical Care and Intermediate Care Special Pathogens Unit (COVID), Thoracic Cardiovascular Intermediate Unit, Surgical Trauma Intermediate Unit, Neuro & Neurosurgery Intermediate Unit, and ED boarders awaiting inpatient room assignment. Staffing ratios: days 1.5, nights 2, weekends 1.5.

Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. Every other weekend. Every other holiday. Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays. Traveler will work Thanksgiving, Black Friday, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day. RTO max: 40 hours per assignment.

Special Requests: No RTO can be approved the first 2 weeks of assignment. Travelers are not eligible to return after reaching 365 total assignment days, regardless of time away.

Floating Requirements: Floating to various ICU and intermediate care units, including Medical ICU, Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Surgical Trauma ICU (Level 1), Neuro & Neurosurgery ICU, Critical Care and Intermediate Care Special Pathogens Unit (COVID), Thoracic Cardiovascular Intermediate Unit, Surgical Trauma Intermediate Unit, Neuro & Neurosurgery Intermediate Unit, and ED boarders awaiting inpatient room assignment.

3 days maximum time off. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
