Security Specialist

Job TitleIncumbent typical work assignments may include the following:Executes personnel, information, physical, industrial, and communications security programs; implements robust controls to safeguard classified assets from unauthorized disclosure, theft, and espionage in accordance with EO 13526, EO 12333, and ICD 703/704/705.Leads security assessments and annual physical inspections across WHS office spaces; monitors information security compliance, drafts standard operating procedures (SOPs), and evaluates classified contracts using DD Form 254 and Statements of Work (SOW).Serves as a primary security spokesperson for WHS, coordinating with OGC, PFPA, and OSW mission partners to build an integrated security common operating picture and brief senior leaders on critical asset vulnerabilities.Plans and conducts comprehensive security education and training programs for government employees and contractors, while leading sensitive security and Insider Threat inquiries to mitigate operational risks.Provides Action Officer-level coordination and security reviews of draft DoW issuances, strategic plans, and policies regarding Continuity of Operations (COOP) and Mission Assurance (MA) to brief WHS Director-level leadership.
