Senior Technician - Security

Sr Technician - Security / ServiceAs a Sr Technician - Security / Service with Bosch Building Technologies North America, you will collaboratively review, understand, analyze, and implement installation blueprints and plans from Project Managers and Sales Teams to complete installations. This role requires the ability and know how to properly complete the installation, understand and follow the BOM, and be capable of making adjustments or finding alternative solutions as needed to complete installations to client satisfaction.Responsibilities:Installing and servicing electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV and intrusion alarmsPre-wiring, installing, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenancePrepares and executes Acceptance Testing Plans that meet contract, client and future service needsAssist in system design and layoutProvide customer with training for proper system usage, and respond to technical inquiriesRelationship building with clients and prospects for future opportunitiesAdministrative duties including project updates to Project Managers, completing and filing all project documentationSupport, lead, and mentor team membersDesign systems and layoutMaintain a high level of safety and professionalismLead projects at a site level, manage a team of junior technicians as necessaryWork at required heights utilizing ladders, scaffolding, lifts, or other.Work in confined spaces as necessary.Perform other tasks as requiredRequired Qualifications:PLT License required3 + years prior experience in a technical role within the Security Systems Integration industryExcellent written and verbal communication skillsValid Driver's License with clean abstractAbility to use hand and specialty tools associated with the industryAbility to lift 50lbs consistentlyAble to work independentlyStrong interpersonal skillsPreferred Qualifications:Postsecondary training in electronics or equivalent is considered an assetVendor Certification in low voltage systems is preferredPhysical Demands:In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, work on job sites, may be required to travel to and from job site locations, may work in a typical office environment, and is occasionally exposed to construction equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Confined space entry may be required.
