About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Charge RN experience requested Patient population includes adults to geriatrics. Previous charge experience is preferred. Patient ratio experience of 1:6 is required. Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory. Travel experience is preferred. Certifications including ACLS and NIHSS are a plus. Description: The position involves caring for a diverse patient population with various medical and surgical diagnoses. Skills required include isolation precautions, wound care and management, high flow nasal cannula, chest tubes, IV initiation and management, PICC line management, blood product administration, and feeding tube care. The nurse will be responsible for administering medications and caring for patients in accordance with established protocols. The unit has a daily average census of 29 patients with a total of 32 rooms. Support teams available include IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, social services, and rapid response teams. Compliance with departmental policies and procedures is required. The position may require floating within the facility as needed. The candidate is expected to work major holidays as outlined in the job description.
