CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs our Nurse Educator, you will design, organize, implement, and evaluate evidence-based educational programs, orientations, and continuing education tailored for nursing staff. Every day you will facilitate the professional growth, clinical skill development, and competency of registered nurses, ensuring these programs primarily support the organization's mission, vision, values, and strategic goals to ensure quality, safety, and service in patient and family-centered care. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong instructional design capabilities, expert clinical nursing knowledge, and the ability to effectively engage and develop nursing professionals, ultimately enhancing nursing practice and patient outcomes.Creates and documents education plans in partnership with leadership team to meet strategic and operational initiatives of the organization Utilizes adult education theories and principles to foster the educational development of participantsAuthors curriculum and implements educational in-services, classes, courses and programs based upon identified education needs and utilizing traditional, non-traditional and innovative methods of instruction including the use of technology and simulationCollaborates with leadership to ensure the assimilation and on-boarding of new employees utilizing organization's identified tools (i.e. skills lists, orientation documents, etc.) as a measure of employees ability to meet performance expectationsDevelops and facilitates continuing education (CE) programs as a member of the Dignity Health Arizona Region Provider Unit in collaboration with the Primary Nurse Planner and Lead plannersServes as a resource for clinical student experiencesJob RequirementsRequiredBachelor's of Nursing BSN5 years RN clinical practice in area of specialtyArizona RN licenseAmerican Heart Association Basic Life Support AHA BLSAmerican Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support AHA ACLSPreferred Masters of NursingSpecialty certification and/or 2 years teachingExperience with spreadsheets databases graphics applicationsWhere You'll WorkAre you ready to join a healthcare family where your values align with ours?
