Key Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations that include reviewing relevant historical data, performing specific assessments, and formulating recommendations while documenting results. Clearly communicate evaluation outcomes and treatment plans to patients and their families, involving them in goal-setting.
• Exhibit expertise in executing treatment protocols based on evaluation results, patient conditions, and the dynamic healthcare landscape. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as necessary. Identify and document any changes in the patient's condition that may require adjustments to the care plan or additional medical/rehabilitation consultations.
• Manage discharge planning and follow-up care effectively. Ensure timely and accurate documentation and billing for patient care activities, reflecting the patient's treatment journey, including initial evaluations, daily notes, interim progress reports, and discharge assessments.
• Demonstrate strong time management skills and meet productivity targets. Maintain an organized schedule while showing a professional commitment to facilitating seamless patient access to care through flexibility, adaptability, and empathetic interactions in a patient-centered environment.
• Proactively seek and direct continuing education opportunities for personal and organizational growth. Act as a clinical instructor for students and assist in the orientation and mentoring of new staff, students, and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Completion of a clinical fellowship year (CFY).
• Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and/or Virginia, as required for your specific location.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) Certificate of Clinical Competence.

Compensation

This position offers a salary range of USD $74,214.00 - USD $134,596.00 per year.
