Position Splish Splash Line Attendant Roles & Responsibilities Greet and guide guests through park queue lines. Convey exceptional guest service, including assisting guests with questions and providing direction as needed. Enforce all park rules and regulations. Maintain compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe environment for colleagues and guests. Monitor guest safety and communicate conflicts to supervisors on duty. Continuously monitor guest behaviors and attempt to curtail any potential situations before they escalation. Exercise clear and concise communications with all park departments. Perform all other duties assigned by leadership. Pay Rate $18 / hr Education and Experience High School diploma, GED, or equivalent. Equivalent work experience will also be considered. Language Read, write, and speak fluent English. Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus. Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with NY Child Labor Laws. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must have reliable transportation to and from scheduled shifts. Possess exceptional customer service skills with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner. Analyze people and/or situations quickly and calmly and take appropriate actions in a quick and effective manner. Deal fairly, objectively, and courteously with the public without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, or political beliefs. Operate dispatch radio and/or other communication devices. Professionally and calmly deal with stressful and/or tense situations. Understand and carry out verbal and written instructions, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independently. Physical Requirements Stand, walk, and remain on feet for the majority of the workday. Occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders. Walk, stand, or run on uphill, downhill, or uneven surfaces. Climb or descend stairs for some attractions. Carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 30 pounds or more. Have good visual acuity and peripheral vision. See details of objects that are more than a few feet away. Working Conditions Predominantly based in an outdoor park setting with some exposure to indoor environments. Frequent exposure to variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, and other weather conditions. Subject to constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, flashing lights, and heavily populated environments. Subject to a variety of stressful emergency situations involving people or property.
