Prevention is the key to water safety, and aquatic team members provide a safe environment by enforcing park and safety rules.A Ride Attendant is responsible for supervising, monitoring, and attending to park attractions, including boarding, securing passengers, starting attractions, and ensuring passengers exit safely. Ride Attendants are required to have good communication skills and provide great continual customer service. They will direct guests on the proper riding positions and safety for the various rides in the park. Ride Attendants must be able to stand or walk for long periods and be in various depths of water (ranging from ankle deep to waist deep) for 30 minutes to an hour throughout the duration of their shift.We are currently looking for a:Splish Splash Ride AttendantRoles & Responsibilities:Greet customers, assist with questions, and provide an engaging customer experience.Positive interactions with guests to ensure that they receive quality serviceEnforce all height and weight rules as they pertain to each attractionTactfully dealing with guests who do not meet ride restrictionsOperate aquatics attractions (e.g. waterslide) in a safe manner.Supervise attractions at all times and ensure all policies, procedures, and safety protocols are being followedMaintain compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe environment for colleagues and guests.Respond to and escalate medical emergencies in a timely and professional mannerProvide CPR and/or First Aid during emergency situations, as neededAdhere to Ellis & Associates Standards and Guidelines as they apply to Splish SplashParticipate in park clean up, including but not limited to picking up trash, straightening chairs, cleaning pools, stacking tubes, wiping tables, and pressure washingAll other duties assigned by leadershipPay Rate: $17.50 / hr.Education and Experience:No education requirements for this positionPrevious work experience is not requiredAll Aquatics/Slide attendants are required to pass a 1-day Ellis and Associates Health Care Provider Basic Life support and Standard First Aid course (training provided by company)Language:Ability to read, write, and speak fluent EnglishSpanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.Requirements:Must be at least 16 years of age to comply with New York State Child Labor LawsAbility to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysMust possess safety-oriented mindset and understand the importance of complying with all Federal, State, and local regulations regarding aquatics safety standardsAbility to multi-task in an efficient manner, to ensure exceptional customer serviceMust demonstrate a willingness to learn and ability to follow instructionsMust be guest-focused and work well with other team members and supervisorsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of timeAbility to swim, wade, and stand (sometimes in moderate currents)Ability to frequently kneel, stoop, bend, squat, twist or reach above shoulder-levelAbility to use hands to grasp, finger, handle, or feelAbility to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing up to 30 pounds.Working Conditions:Continuous exposure to outdoor aquatics environmentsContinuous exposure to variable outside temperatures, including high heat, direct sun, cold, humidity, dust, rain, and other weather conditionsRegularly subjected to water and pool chemicalsSubject to frequent interruptions and requests that may require reprioritization of activitiesTeam member benefits:Working at Splish Splash is about making people happy!
