Senior Accountant

Overview Are you a seasoned accounting professional with strong project or job-costing experience? Our team is partnering with a rapidly growing industrial services organization seeking a Senior Accountant to join their high-performing finance group. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys problem-solving, collaboration, and hands-on accounting work. Responsibilities Lead key components of month-end and year-end closing Prepare, review, and enter complex journal entries (GAAP-compliant) Reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts; investigate variances Support project accounting, job costing, and financial tracking for active projects Assist with AP/AR activities Prepare audit schedules and provide documentation for internal/external reviews Partner with Operations, Project Management, and Accounting teams Participate in process improvements and system optimization initiatives Maintain accurate, organized financial records in alignment with company policy Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 5+ years of accounting experience with a strong performance record Background in construction, industrial, or manufacturing accounting strongly preferred Solid experience with job costing and project-related spending Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, data analysis) Strong ERP experience Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and deadline management Ability to work independently and collaboratively Must pass standard pre-employment screenings Flexibility for occasional overtime during peak periods All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
