Seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist for a full-time remote position, responsible for ensuring accurate claim submissions, managing billing errors, and maintaining compliance with coding practices in orthopedic care. Key responsibilities Ensure accurate coding and reimbursement for medical services based on documented medical records Identify and resolve billing errors, retraining staff on coding practices as necessary Manage overpayment refunds and maintain compliance with federal and state healthcare program requirements Required qualifications Degree, certificate, or diploma in medical billing, health information management, or healthcare administration preferred Completion of a medical billing training program preferred; Certified Professional Biller (CPB) is a plus Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for timely and accurate claims processing Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in using digital tools for billing and record-keeping
