Revenue Reporting Accountant

Under direct supervision, this role is responsible for analyzing revenue data and supporting the preparation of accrual and re-accrual entries, while ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of revenue accounting, production data, and general accounting principles.Job Responsibilities:Include but are not limited to:Analyze monthly revenue data, including production volumes and pricing, to support accrual and re-accrual processesPrepare accruals, journal entries, and perform month-end close activitiesReconcile general ledger accounts and support account reconciliation processesMeet all revenue reporting deadlines in a timely mannerAssist other members of the Revenue Reporting team, as neededPerform ad hoc analysis and special projects as assignedRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree (BBA or BS) in AccountingProficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., XLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables)Foundational knowledge of revenue accounting, production, and general accounting principlesPreferred Qualifications:One (1+) year of accounting experience, preferably in oil and gasDemonstrated interest in process improvements and efficiency enhancementsAbility to adapt to changing priorities and work assignmentsStrong organizational and time management skillsHigh attention to detail with the ability to learn new systems and concepts quicklyRelocation:This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.Work Authorization:Diamondback Energy is not currently sponsoring employment visas for this position.Diamondback is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
