Job Summary The CTMS Business Analyst is responsible for providing high-quality calendar builds and accurate financial entry services for site clients who utilize a Clinical Trial Management System for clinical research financial oversight and patient enrollment management. The CTMS service deliverables trigger the start date for site study activation, making timely and accurate deliverables imperative to meet increasing demands on research sites and reduce study activation timelines, which directly affects site funding. Must Mandatory The expected base salary range for this position is $73,350-$114,000. This salary range may vary based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, education and geographic location. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Provide expert level calendar builds and financial entry utilizing industry expertise and incorporating site client requirements. Read, analyze, and interpret clinical trial protocols to develop a comprehensive CTMS mapping plan. Collaborate with internal WCG teams and site client to ensure billing determinations, sponsor budget, and clinical trial agreement are congruent with the protocol and client requirements before building calendar or entering financials. Accurately revise previous deliverables to align with amendments and changing client preferences. Review work completed by others as part of the internal quality review process. Manage site clients with exceptional customer service through industry expertise, guidance and frequent communications. Consultatively solve problems with internal WCG and site client teams to obtain consensus for best practices. Attend to time management and attendances, essential functions of the position. Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of significant work experience in a related field, education and skills may substitute for a relevant degree. Coverage analysis and research budget development experience preferred. Qualifications/Experience Ability to work in a performance-driven environment: proactive, results-driven and goal-oriented approach. Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical and scientific product-related information consultatively. Ability to work independently while delivering high-quality product within designated timelines. Strong ability to read and interpret complex clinical trial protocols. Prior experience with building calendars and entering financials into a CTMS platform. Excellent attention to detail and highly organized. Ability to understand clinical terms and descriptors and strong investigative and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication (oral/written) and interpersonal skills. Preferred but not required: Familiarity with the clinical trial start-up process. Experience with oncology calendar builds and financial entry. Familiarity with research billing guidelines (e.g., Medicare NCD 310.1) or general healthcare billing processes (coding, Medicare regulations, etc.). Majority of time is spent in a seated position with frequent opportunity to move. Activities require a variety of easy muscle movements and a frequent need to concentrate on a variety of sensory inputs for moderate to lengthy durations, requiring diligence and attention to interpret effectively. The need to attend to single or simultaneous tasks where accuracy of details is important. The need for detailed and precise work is high.
