About the Position

General Hospital is seeking a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner with Neurosurgery experience for an inpatient adult neurosurgery locum assignment. The provider will work closely with residents and the neurosurgery team to manage patient care, coordinate treatment plans, and facilitate patient discharges in a leading academic medical center.

Participate in daily inpatient neurosurgery rounds with residents and physicians; assess and manage adult neurosurgical patients; review and enter orders; coordinate patient care plans; manage admissions and discharges; monitor patient progress; perform bedside procedures as appropriate; remove Hemovac and JP drains when needed; document patient care in Epic EMR; collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Requirements

Master’s or Doctoral Degree as a Nurse Practitioner; Board Certified in Neurosurgery; Active Massachusetts NP License; Minimum 1 year of Neurosurgery experience required; Experience in inpatient neurosurgical patient management; Preferred experience removing Hemovac and JP drains.
