Advanced RN - Surgery Services

Education

Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.

Experience

At least one year of acute care nursing experience is preferred to ensure readiness for the fast-paced surgical environment.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license valid in Missouri or a Compact State.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care including medication administration, patient and family education, and nursing interventions. Maintain patient safety by adhering to infection prevention protocols and safe patient handling practices. Conduct thorough initial and ongoing patient assessments to monitor status and communicate critical information to the healthcare team. Accurately document all patient care activities to support compliance with quality standards. Foster teamwork and accountability by appropriately delegating tasks and adapting positively to changes in the healthcare environment. Engage in continuous learning to enhance clinical skills and critical thinking.

Physical and Work Environment

This position requires considerable mental focus and physical activity such as walking, lifting up to 35 pounds, and various movements including standing, turning, and reaching. The role involves frequent exposure to infectious and communicable diseases and occasional encounters with challenging individuals.
