The Dixon Group is looking for a Quality Control Technician to join our team!In this role, you will be responsible for in-process audits in production, inspecting and approving incoming materials, and managing calibration of gauges. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision and has a strong background in inspection, measurement, and metrology. What You'll Do: Develops incoming and in process inspection plans Creates inspection reports and initiates a material review board (MRB) if parts are not in compliance with drawing Supports engineering by designing and producing test and inspection fixtures Receives incoming product and ensures product compliance and integrity Is involved in investigations and corrective actions for defects and customer complaints Initiates cost reduction activities to minimize waste, scrap, and rework, which will directly reduce the business unit's cost of poor quality (COPQ) Continual improvement agent for the business Maintain and manage quality control instruments and testing equipment Ensure compliance with the QMS by providing training and conducting audits Use the DDS (ERP System) to receive and document inventory Inspect products using CMM, Vision System, Calipers, Micrometers and other equipment as needed Perform statistical analysis studies on parts for incoming and PPAP needs Help develop the QA team into a world class department Develop and maintain adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS) policies and procedures Perform internal and external quality audits.
