Looking for a Background/Drug free employee that is mechanically inclined and knows electricity. Must have a clean driving record (No DUI's, or reckless driving). Can dissemble products and reassemble with ease. No prior experience in appliances necessary. Customer friendly and works well with others. We service multiple brands under manufacture warranty and service contracts for Polk County, FL, Avon Park, Sebring, Fort Meade, and Wauchula. You must be willing to live in Polk County or parts of Hillsborough County Florida (our service area).

This is a Monday-Friday position 8-5 pm with occasional overtime. We do require a background check along with drug screening yearly. You must be able to lift 50 pounds or less. We pay by the hour, not by Commission. Pay ranges by experience hourly starting pay $18.00 an hour. Experienced techs with more than 6 years of appliance repair or more can start off at $20.00 an hour on up. Company service van will be provided only once you are fully trained. Your training will be with experienced techs with a ride along. You will need to have transportation from our main office Monday-Friday till we release you on your own to service. You will have a 90 evaluation for pay increase depending on performance. Health Insurance will be provided after 90 days of employment. Job Type: Full-time Salary: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour As an Appliance Repair Technician, you are a key member of the team responsible for the quality and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of appliances and other equipment. You also develop new customers by identifying opportunities to sell additional work. Exemplifying our code of values, you show respect and courtesy to all customers and employees. This position is right for you if you are self-motivated, have a knack for troubleshooting, and are able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines. Ideally, you have proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Repair home appliances/equipment
• Accurately diagnose and repair appliances/equipment in the customer's home
• Provide cost estimates for repairs/installations and collect payment and/or payment information from customers for work performed
• Ensure the efficient use of materials and keep company vehicle and equipment properly serviced
• Complete invoices, daily route sheets, and weekly reports as required
• Perform other duties as needed which may include cross-training in related positions

Job Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License with a clean record
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Proficiency to navigate tablet-based technology
• The ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis, and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis without assistance and the physical ability to perform strenuous work under varied circumstances
• Flexible and variable hours (no weekends)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
