You’ll serve as the senior technical authority for device management, security, automation, and endpoint modernization, while acting as the escalation point for the most complex and high-impact issues.In this role, you’ll shape how Happen manages and secures devices at scale, modernize tooling and processes, and design automation that improves reliability and reduces repetitive work. You’ll also mentor teammates and partner with vendors and onshore/offshore resources to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business needs.What You'll DoServe as the top escalation point for Windows and Mac issues Helpdesk can’t resolve, diagnosing and closing out the most complex, high-visibility problems, while simultaneously solving the “why does this keep happening and how do I engineer this to not happen again”Administer SCCM, Intune and JAMF, building and deploying application packages and OS images to laptops and desktops across the globeShape the systems and strategy behind secure, efficient, cost-effective client management, including how we evaluate, test, and roll out new Windows and Mac OS versionsBuild automation — scripting in Bash, Python, and PowerShell — to eliminate repetitive work, using AI tools to speed up scripting, testing, and troubleshooting where it genuinely helpsLead technical resources across projects, coordinating with teammates in the US and with vendors and onshore/offshore partners to keep delivery on trackReview designs and solutions from junior team members for technical accuracy, and coach and mentor them as they growEvaluate and certify security updates, patches, and service packs before they roll out to Mac and PC clients, balancing speed with riskDevelop integrations with new technologies, including systems that carry real risk and visibility, and architect how new endpoints get configured and deployedAbout You10+ years of experience in end user computing, endpoint engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical fieldBachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent combination of education and experienceDeep hands-on expertise with endpoint management platforms such as JAMF, Active Directory, SCCM, and IntuneYou take ownership of problems through to resolution, exercising sound technical judgment, and consistently look for ways to improve reliability, efficiency, and user experienceWorks independently with minimal oversight, prioritizing and multitasking across competing priorities without losing qualityBrings deep, hands-on expertise with CIS/NIST standards and applies them confidently in complex, highly sensitive environmentsSpots new or unprecedented problems quickly and works through them methodically, asking the right questions before actingProven ability to establish technical direction and align engineering decisions align with company objectivesApplies sound judgment when using AI and other new tools to move faster on scripting, troubleshooting, and automation — staying alert to accuracy, data sensitivity, and compliance in a regulated environmentStrong communication skills with the ability to translate technical solutions for teammates, vendors, and end users and cross-trains others effectivelyExperience with Intune for client software deployment, inventory, antivirus, and endpoint securityJAMF, SCCM, or Intune certificationExperience with Okta, Entra ID, and identity access managementExperience with Terraform, AWS EC2, or Kubernetes/EKSNice to HaveNetwork engineering experience, including 802.1x configuration for wired and wireless connectionsFamiliarity with configuration profiles and preference files (.plist)Experience with Citrix or Amazon WorkspacesExperience with Bitwarden or a similar corporate credential managerWork Location San Francisco, LehiThe above locations are eligible offices for this role. The locations have been determined to foster in-person collaboration with this role’s team or the related business lines. We utilize a hybrid work model, and our teams are in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. In-person attendance is essential for this role’s success, and remote placement will not be considered. Happen Bank offers relocation, based on actual job level. Time Zone Requirements Local hours (PT, MT)While the position will primarily work local hours, Happen Bank is headquartered in Pacific Time and our ideal candidate will be flexible working across time zones when necessary.Travel Requirements As needed travel to Happen Bank offices and/or other locations, as needed. Compensation The target base salary range for this position is 158,000-205,000. The base salary of the role will be determined by job-related knowledge, experience, education, skills, and location. Base salary is just one part of Happen Bank's Total Rewards package.
