Maintenance AssistantMaintenance Assistant Rate: $16.60- $19.06/hour (depending on experience) Shift: Part-Time Schedule: 3 Days, 2:30 pm- 11 pm, every other weekendSeneca Health Care Center is looking to add a Maintenance Assistant to its team. In this role, you'll help maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment throughout the facility by performing routine maintenance, repairs, preventative maintenance, and groundskeeping duties. Join us and become part of a team dedicated to making a difference every day.Responsibilities:Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep throughout the facility and groundsComplete work orders and non-routine projects, including painting, drywall repairs, floor care, plumbing repairs, electrical repairs, ceiling tile replacement, and window repairsMaintain exterior areas, parking lots, green spaces, and assist with snow removal and salting as neededCollect and transport trash, soiled linens, and other materials throughout the facilityPerform preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment, including patient lifts, oxygen concentrators, suction machines, laundry equipment, wheelchairs, generators, and other facility systemsConduct fire drills, fire extinguisher inspections, water temperature testing, and sharps container inspectionsReport maintenance concerns, equipment malfunctions, and safety hazards promptlyAssist with facility security and support continuous quality improvement initiativesIf assigned, provide transportation services using facility vehicles in accordance with NYS regulations and facility proceduresPerform additional duties as assigned by the supervisorRequirements:Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum experience requirement: 6 months of experience in a cleaning or maintenance position; 1 year of experience in a cleaning or maintenance position preferredValid NYS Driver's License requiredBasic knowledge of building maintenance, repairs, tools, and equipmentStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasksExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to safely lift, carry, and move equipment and suppliesDependable, professional, and committed to maintaining a safe environmentBenefits:Paid Time Off (PTO) for Full-Time and Part-TimeWeekly or Same-Day Pay OptionsHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceLife InsuranceEmployee Referral Bonus ProgramRetirement Saving OptionsQualifications:Education: Preferred High School or better.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
