Learn more about Olympic Steel at iamolympicsteel.com.Job DescriptionDecides what steel to use for specific jobs and distributes factory orders to individual work areas/machinesMonitors incoming orders and incorporates into production scheduleDevelops and implements production schedules to help achieve company-wide sales/performance goalsDistributes production orders to individual work areas/machinesAssigns or re-assigns material to orders as necessaryWorks with sales on managing high-volume accounts and repeating ordersAssists in designing the layout of the plant or layouts of materials in the plant to achieve maximum efficiencyApplies coils to sales orders according to strategies set by Management; using material reserved for specific customers if availableApplies sheets, strip mill plates, and plates to orders per strategy set by ManagementMatches orders to appropriate suppliers/outside processors based on requirementsAssists in coordination of incoming material and sets up and completes inventory runs dailyAnswers questions for inside sales, inventory, and machine operators as neededWrites process orders for shearing and slit coilsDevelops and implements production schedules to help achieve company-wide sales/performance goalsAssists Foreman or Maintenance Manager in scheduling time for maintenance of machinesOther duties as assigned by management.Pay Range: $75,000 annuallyQualificationsAssociate's Degree or related experienceSkilled at organizing and multitaskingAbility to communicate effectively both written and verballyWhy Work for Olympic SteelOlympic Steel offers comprehensive benefits, including:Medical, dental, and vision benefitsPaid holidays and vacation401(k) with employer matchTuition reimbursement & Employee Discount ProgramsReferral programWe offer more than a competitive total compensation package.
