The Superintendent position is an administrative position overseeing and administering the onsite day- to-day general operations which include safety, inspections, weekly logs, etc. of one or more construction projects, typically from start to finish of each project.

Duties/Responsibilities:

·       Order and coordinate necessary temporary utilities required for project at mobilization.

·       Develops a schedule for completion of an assigned project.

·       Coordinates and schedules the daily work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers, communicating to and via project foreperson to deliver instructions and project assignments as appropriate.

·       Create weekly “3-week” look ahead schedules with input and buy-in from subcontractors.

·       Regularly inspects work for quality and timeliness; prepares and provides progress reports to owners and architects; makes recommendations for necessary modifications.

·       Collaborates with architect, engineer, attorney, and other pertinent stakeholders to ensure specifications, zoning requirements, and other regulations are met.

·       Ensures specifications and regulations outlined in architectural and engineering plans are followed.

·       Coordinates with city, county, state, federal and any other AHJ’s for required inspections, approvals, permits or certifications.

·       Monitors budget throughout the project and communicates variances as they occur.

·       Maintains records related to costs deliveries and inventory.

·       Maintains Daily Logs to include all daily activities, weather, tasks completed, subcontractors present, inspections, etc.

·       Addresses any safety violations or other deficiencies.

·       Holds weekly safety meetings of toolbox talks.

·       Maintains hazmat resources and safety materials.

·       Collaborates with union representatives to answer questions and clarify procedures.

·       Performs other related duties as assigned.
