The CT Technologist can perform all general diagnostic radiographic exams and CT exams. Assumes responsibility for designated areas as assigned. The Technologist operates CT equipment, prepares and administers contrast media, performs Intravenous contrast injections, operates X-ray equipment, prepares patient's room, equipment, supplies, and medications. The CT Technologist is responsible for the quality control and enforcement of Enloe Medical Centers Core Values, ARRT Standards of Ethics, and the policies and procedures of the designated area. The CT Technologist supports and contributes to the service excellence mission of Enloe Medical Center and the Radiology Department.Education / Training / ExperienceDesired: - Two years experience in diagnostic x-ray - One year experience in CT Licenses / Certifications: Minimum: - Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the Department of Health Services, State of California (CRT) - Approved CPR certification - ARRT and Fluoroscopy permit to be obtained within 6 months of hire Desired: - Current Radiographic contrast media and venapuncture certification - Current license issued by ARRT - Radiologic Technologist fluoroscopy permit issued by the State of California - Advanced certification in CT Skills / Knowledge / Abilities: Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of human structure and function, cross sectional anatomy, patient care, positioning, and principles of radiographic exposure, quality assurance, radiation physics, radiation protection, radiobiology, and specialized techniques as required for a radiologic and CT technologist. Must be intelligent and self motivated. Excellent communication and critical thinking skills problem solving techniques are required.About Chico: Chico is an extremely easy place to live.
