Description W-Industries is searching for an Intern to join our long history of success and tradition. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and contribute to projects within our energy, automation, and industrial operations. This role provides hands‑on experience, mentorship, and exposure to real‑world challenges in a professional environment. The Intern will assist teams in day‑to‑day tasks, support project deliverables, and gain valuable industry knowledge while upholding W-Industries’s high standards of safety, quality, and performance. Job Type Internship Job Requirements Assist project teams, engineers, or department staff with daily activities. Perform data entry, file management, and document preparation as needed. Support field or shop activities, which may include basic assembly, inspection, or testing tasks under supervision. Conduct research and compile information for reports and presentations. Shadow experienced professionals to learn workflows, processes, and best practices. Maintain a safe and organized work area at all times. Demonstrate professionalism and a willingness to learn new skills. Required Skills & Competencies Eagerness to learn and contribute in a team environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks in a timely manner. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills. Required Experience & Education Current enrollment in a high school, technical program, college, or university. No prior industry experience required, but relevant coursework or training is a plus. Physical Requirements (select based on placement) Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times. OR Ability to lift at least 50 pounds. Ability to reach with arms and use tools above/over the head. Ability to perform repetitive movements. Ability to stand (for extended periods of time), walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist. Ability to sit, balance, and climb ladders, scaffolds, and other objects. Ability to move in and around confined and cluttered places and uneven areas. Ability to distinguish colors.
