SENIOR PRODUCER | JOB DESCRIPTION
ABOUT REFORM ALLIANCE
REFORM , founded in the wake of the #FreeMeek movement, is committed to transforming probation and parole throughout the United States by changing laws, systems, and culture. The organization is working to replace America’s criminal justice system with a restorative approach that is fair, accountable, and invested in rehabilitation. Our goal is for people to reenter society with dignity, create meaningful pathways to work, and equip them with the tools to succeed all while making families and communities safer and stronger.
ABOUT THE ROLE
REFORM is hiring a Senior Producer to lead the production of high-quality content that brings our brand, campaigns, advocacy work, events, and community stories to life.
This role will serve as a central production lead within REFORM’s Marketing & Communications team, translating creative concepts and content plans into finished assets across social, digital, editorial, and live channels. The Senior Producer will own projects from pre-production through delivery, including scoping, scheduling, logistics, shoots, post-production, approvals, and asset management.
The ideal candidate is an experienced producer who knows how to move quickly without sacrificing quality. They can manage multiple productions at once, build efficient workflows, coordinate internal and external collaborators, anticipate production needs, and ensure every project gets across the finish line.
This is a hands-on production role. The Senior Producer should be comfortable producing shoots, interviewing subjects, coordinating crews and vendors, managing production calendars, reviewing edits, organizing assets, and stepping into the details when needed.
Working closely with creative, content, marketing, communications, policy, and community teams, this person will help build a scalable production operation capable of responding to REFORM’s fast-moving work while maintaining a consistent standard of quality.
This role is on the Marketing & Communications team and reports to the Managing Director, Social & Content Strategy.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Lead Content Production (50%)
- Lead production of video, social, digital, editorial, campaign, event, and advocacy content from pre-production through final delivery.
- Translate approved creative concepts, briefs, and content plans into actionable production plans.
- Own pre-production, including schedules, shot lists, interview preparation, locations, talent coordination, equipment needs, releases, call sheets, and production logistics.
- Produce on-location and studio shoots, including interviews, events, community storytelling, executive content, advocacy content, and social-first capture.
- Partner closely with videographers, editors, designers, photographers, freelancers, agencies, and other production partners to execute content.
- Manage post-production workflows, including edit schedules, feedback rounds, approvals, versioning, captions, graphics, audio, and final delivery.
- Maintain high production standards while adapting content for different platforms, audiences, formats, and timelines.
- Identify opportunities to efficiently capture additional evergreen and social-first assets during productions.
- Support rapid-response production needs when timely moments, events, legislative developments, or organizational priorities require content.
- Partner with creative and content leads to understand the intent, audience, and deliverables for each project.
- Work closely with Communications, Policy, Community Engagement, Development, and other teams to coordinate production needs.
- Build strong relationships with REFORM staff, advocates, community members, partners, and talent who may participate in content.
- Bring strong production judgment to creative conversations, identifying what is feasible, what resources are required, and how ideas can be executed effectively.
- Stay current on production tools, workflows, equipment, formats, and emerging content-production practices.
- Support other production needs as assigned.
Own Production Operations & Asset Management (40%)
- Build and maintain a centralized production calendar across campaigns, shoots, events, and ongoing content needs.
- Develop clear production workflows that move projects efficiently from brief to production, post-production, approval, and delivery.
- Establish and maintain REFORM’s digital asset management system, including naming conventions, folder structures, metadata, archival practices, permissions, and version control.
- Ensure footage, photography, graphics, project files, releases, and final assets are properly organized and accessible for future use.
- Maintain visibility into the status, deadlines, dependencies, and deliverables of active productions.
- Manage production vendors, freelancers, crews, equipment rentals, and other external resources as needed.
- Track production budgets and help identify efficient approaches to resourcing and execution.
- Create repeatable production processes, templates, and documentation that allow REFORM to scale its content operation.
- Maintain an archive of evergreen footage and photography that can be repurposed across campaigns and channels.
