Job Summary Analyzes and measures the effectiveness of existing business processes and develops sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable business process improvements | Researches best business practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data | Collects and analyzes process data to initiate, develop and recommend business practices and procedures that focus on enhanced safety, increased productivity and reduced cost | Determines how new information technologies can support reengineering business processes | May specialize in one or more of the following areas: benchmarking, business process analysis and reengineering, change management and measurement, and/or process-driven systems requirements Impact of the Role General ProfileSupervises the daily activities of support staff or production team members. Does not typically perform the work supervisedMust have any type of one direct report or moreSets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisorsProblem solving is guided by policies and procedures; receives guidance and oversight from managerConsistent exercise of discretion & judgment Essential Functions Collaborates with functional leadership to identify and select processes or projects for inclusion in the organization's continuous improvement initiative. Oversees the work of a team that evaluates existing processes and identifies opportunities for quality or efficiency improvement. Develops and monitors the implementation of process changes meant to result in cost or waste reduction, productivity improvement, customer satisfaction, and profitability increases. Tracks progress against established goals. Recommends changes that may impact floor layout, material flow, or machinery selection and use. Leads and directs the work of other employees and has some responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & General Managers. Required Qualifications Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or ExperienceCritical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Preferred Qualifications Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's DegreeDiscipline/Major: Business, Engineering, Operations or related field preferredAdditional certifications: Lean, Six Sigma, or related certification preferredKnowledge, skills & abilities: Leadership Skills. Problem management. Judgement. Detail oriented. Attentiveness. Project management skills. Physical Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Travel Requirements Up to 25% travel likely. Pay Range (USD) $102,700.00 - $138,900.00 Pay Transparency Statement The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the range during the hiring process. Additional Compensation Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company’s Gain Sharing Program.
