Social Service Designee participants will receive insight to the Social Service department of a long term care facility, learn the aging process, the performance skills of the SSD and understand the role and function of the position. Upon successful completion of the course, attendees will have met the Missouri State requirements to be a Social Service Designee in a long term care setting and will receive a Certificate of Attendance from the Missouri Health Care Association. Requirements: Computer & Internet Access Valid Email Address for each student Required Textbook can be purchased during registration. Workshop fee does not include the cost of the required textbook, "Long Term Care for Activity Professionals and Recreational Therapists". This book may be purchased during your registration for this course. The course is April 7 - May 4, 2026 . It is offered monthly.
